In 2008, Urban is the new Rural
With the new year on it's way, I was reminded of something I read in June.
For the first time ever, there will be more people in the world who live in cities than don't.
According to the United Nations Population Fund in June 2007, there are
3.3 billion people living in cities, and that number is expected to grow
to 5 billion within 25 years.
This raises two questions that I think are worth addressing.
Did 2007 bring about the tipping point of urbanization in general, and what will it mean for lawyers in 2008 and to come?
I'm prepared to answer neither.
